The TP-SW5G-D+ (formerly TP-SW5GD-BT) Power over Ethernet (PoE) 5-Port Gigabit Switch from Tycon Systems® offers fully automatic, high-speed Layer 2 Ethernet performance. Featuring one 802.3bt PoE input and four 802.3at PoE outputs, this switch efficiently powers multiple devices with ease. Specifically, Ports 1–4 provide 802.3at 35W PoE output, while Uplink Port 5 supports 802.3bt, accepting up to 100W PoE on 4 pairs. This capability allows the switch to power connected devices remotely over CAT5 or higher Ethernet cables, with network distances of up to 100m (328ft). When used as a repeater, it can extend the total distance to an impressive 200m.

This switch supports three versatile power input methods: a wire terminal connector, a 4-pin Mini DIN connector, or 802.3at/bt PoE input via Uplink Port 5. Additionally, redundant power inputs enhance reliability, with the higher voltage taking priority to ensure consistent and dependable performance.

Built for durability, the RJ45 connectors are shielded and grounded to the common “FG” (Frame Ground) connection, which enhances the unit’s robustness. Each unit features robust 15kV surge protection on all Ethernet wires, safeguarding against electrical surges. Furthermore, a conformal coating guards against moisture, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environmental conditions. With its wide operating temperature range, the TP-SW5G-D+ excels in both outdoor and industrial environments, providing a dependable solution for various applications.
