Using the AF-11FX-L airFiber 11FX Low-Band Licensed Backhaul Radio from Ubiquiti Networks to connect the Ubiquiti AF-11G35 antenna or a variety of third party antennas using the optional adapter kit. Regardless of the antenna you're connecting to, this radio offers enhanced connectivity using the licensed 11 GHz radio band. By utilizing this radio band clients benefit from enhanced wireless connectivity complete with higher data transfer rates at greater distances.

This Ubiquiti Backhaul Radio can be configured to use either single (SISO) or multiple (MIMO) connectivity while a network admin can configure the transmit and receive signals to reside on separate channels to further improve network performance. Installation is simple as the radio supports both DC and PoE power and comes with silicone boots to help protect against the elements when installed outdoors.

  • Optimized Channels

The airFiber AF-11FX can use single (SISO) or bonded (MIMO) channels, depending on your specific licensing requirements. The AF-11FX also features different channel width sizes to suit your deployment needs, and you can independently configure TX and RX channel frequencies.

  • Reconfigurable Duplexers

The AF-11FX features a unique modular duplexer design to suit multiple frequency configurations. Each AF-11FX radio can be configured to support any allowable frequency by simply changing the duplexers for high-band or low-band use in the 10.7 - 11.7 GHz allocation. Each duplexer has a low channel and a high channel that can be configured by simply reversing the position of the duplexer.

 

  • Versatile, Ruggedized N-Type Connectors

N-connectors allow the AF-11FX to be used with either the Ubiquiti AF-11G35 antenna or a variety of commonly available antennas. Specially designed silicone boots provide a weatherproof barrier against dust and moisture.

Ubiquiti Networks introduces the airFiber AF-11G35 antenna, designed for use in the licensed 11 GHz band. Break free of the crowded 5 GHz spectrum by pairing the airFiber AF-11G35 antenna with the airFiber AF-11FX radio (available separately), to create the endpoint of an 11 GHz high-performance, full-duplex, Point-to-Point bridge or network backhaul.

The airFiber AF-11G35 antenna delivers SISO or 2x2 MIMO, dual-polarity performance. On the right is one example of how the AF-11G35 antenna with the AF-11FX radio can be deployed as endpoints in a backhaul link to deliver bandwidth from a WISP network out to a neighborhood tower. From there, an airMAX Sector antenna with a Rocket radio delivers bandwidth to the WISP’s customers.

  • Ubiquiti offers the AF-11G35 antenna, specially designed for the AF-11FX radio, so that installation requires no special tools. The AF-11G35 comes preconfigured with V/H polarization, and can be configured to support ± 45° slant polarization for improved noise immunity and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), dependent on regulatory region.
